Every human being born on this planet needs certain basic conditions to thrive in. These basic conditions are the same for each individual in the whole world. We all need food, shelter, clothing, air and money.
From this reasoning alone, one can establish a very key point here which is that we are all born equal. We all breathe, we all eat, we all shit and we all sleep.
Ask yourself these questions: ‘would I really want to live in a condition where my basic needs are not met? Would I rather live in a home or on the streets? Would I rather eat nutritious food or food that people have dumped in the garbage?’ If I understand that having all these is crucial to me, then it certainly is for the rest of the world. That being said, we might as well start reasoning in ways that would actually support our entire race, rather than in ways that only support self-interest
Currently we exist in a system that is debt based. In other words, for an individual to have shelter, clothing and food, they require money. However, if all these basic necessities were met, then would we be chasing after money? Most likely not because there would be no reason why you would choose to be a doctor who is well paid over a cashier who is getting a minimum wage as money would not be your motivational factor.
Nowadays, most of us dream to possess a huge expensive house, drive a Ferrari and perhaps travel the world. How do we go about achieving all that? Well, go to university and obtain a degree that will land you a high paying job. So money turns into this driving force that makes you want more and more of it to satisfy your material possessions and eventually it rules you. Think about it; if money did not rule you, why would you be concerned as to why someone who is a high school dropout is getting the same wage as you? Let’s understand why there is so much inequality in this current world. For certain people to be occupying high jobs, a lot of others will suffer by getting lower salaries. It is all about budget and economics. To improve in one sector, another sector will pay the price via cutbacks. So, who would like to be that poor soul who is getting the cutback?
By putting money as your ‘ruler’ or your ‘God’, what you are indirectly promoting is slavery. For instance, by saying that I deserve more money because I worked harder in school, you are implying that someone else who is not gifted like you (based on many reasons) should be your slave and end up doing jobs that are looked down upon. Put yourself in their shoes. How would you like to be in a job that you hated and did it because you had no other choice since your parents couldn’t afford school fees or you grew up in a family that was just not supporting you due to their abusive behavior? Just because someone is cleaning toilets or collecting garbage does not mean they are dumb. They could have been really bright but not able to achieve academic success for many reasons. Now, you can convince yourself that what other people make out of life is none of your business, but that would be quite selfish and if we all want a better world for our kids, engaging in selfish behaviors will not support that.
In addition, it seems that those jobs that are highly paid are those where people obtain higher levels of education. Well, why should this be? A garbage collector comes regularly to collect garbage. If there were no garbage collectors on this planet, how would this environment turn out to be? There would be garbage dumped everywhere. Therefore, it is crucial to have people in such jobs. The same applies to street cleaners, toilet cleaners and every other odd job that is out there. Imagine if farming did not take place anymore because being a farmer is a lousy thing, how would the rich doctor or lawyer get his food to live? What we need to realize is that there are certain jobs that are essential for the well functioning of this planet. If these jobs are essential, then there would be no reason to have someone with no degree get paid higher than someone else without.
Now currently, the reason why people argue that university graduates need more income is because those people have had to pay for their schooling to be able to get those higher paid jobs. In an equal money system, education would be provided to you for free. Student loans will not exist. You can certainly argue that you devoted a lot of time studying material to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer and so on but take a look at that poor farmer who is having to wake up early and be on this feet the whole day to take care of us by providing us the food we need. He needs to work rain or shine and make sure the animals are fed. He is using his physical body and not his mind to perform his work. His work is as essential as ours. Why should we discriminate between jobs that require physical versus mental labor if both jobs are needed to sustain humanity? Is your mind more important than your physical body (arms and legs)?
You have been designed the way you are because each part of your body has a specific function and losing one part of your body would compromise your quality of life for most of us. So let’s not even argue that I would rather lose my feet than lose my mind to prove that the mind is more important as this is pointless and why even go there? Let’s realize everything and everyone is equal and important. If we examine what work is from a molecular or energetic level, it is simply the movement of particles to generate an activity that will produce results which will transfer into something called money. That activity could be anything from cleaning toilets to saving lives. Regardless of the activity, you are producing results in a unit of time so at this level, it does not make sense to have different amounts of income.
Some fear that in an equal money system, no one will take the time and study 5-10 years to become a doctor or an engineer and these are jobs that are needed. Well, with the structure that will be taking place, we need to realize that there will be a quota for each job that is essential. For instance, if a location needs 10 doctors, the new system will ensure that there will be 10 doctors. These logistics are not what the purpose of this article is. There will be solutions to keep things in a manner that is best for all. Some people dream to be doctors because they enjoy the profession and want to express themselves as a doctor. That is what the equal money system is designed to make you do. If you really need to work, it better be a job that you can enjoy doing and not something you are doing because you need more money or your parents are pressurizing you to do it.
